Terms of Use

Template terms for review by legal counsel and the Designated Manager before launch.

By using Pharmly (the "service"), you agree to these terms.

What the service is

Pharmly lets you request an assessment from a licensed Ontario pharmacist for common minor ailments within a pharmacist's scope of practice. It is a real clinical assessment, not an automated diagnosis.

Not for emergencies

The service is not for urgent or emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not use this service for serious, rapidly worsening, or life-threatening symptoms.

No guaranteed prescription

Submitting an assessment does not guarantee a prescription. The pharmacist may determine that a prescription is not appropriate, may recommend an over-the-counter option or self-care, or may refer you to a physician or other care. A prescription is issued only when it is clinically appropriate.

Eligibility

The service is intended for people located in Ontario. You must be the patient or the patient's authorized caregiver, and you must provide accurate, complete, and honest information. Care decisions rely on what you tell us.

Fees

The pharmacist assessment is free if you have a valid Ontario health card. Without one, a flat $30 assessment fee applies. Medication and delivery costs, where applicable, are separate.

Privacy

Your personal health information is handled in accordance with our Privacy & Confidentiality statement and Ontario law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pharmly is not liable for outcomes arising from inaccurate or incomplete information you provide, or from use of the service contrary to these terms or to a pharmacist's advice. Nothing in these terms limits the professional and legal obligations of the pharmacists providing your care.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service means you accept the current terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
